Celebrating Success
Powell Welcomes 5 New Citizens and 1 New Permanent Resident
On October 30, Powell was thrilled to have 5 clients sworn in as US citizens at 3 separate oath ceremonies. The new citizens proudly represented three different nations; Pakistan, Mexico, and Guatemala. Welcoming new citizens is the highlight of the career for an immigration attorney, and it is always an honor to stand beside those who are taking an oath support and defend our constitution, knowing the years of effort that went into each succesful application.
Becoming a U.S. citizen is a significant achievement, but the path to citizenship can be complex and demanding. Applicants must meet strict eligibility requirements, navigate extensive paperwork, and often face long processing times. The naturalization process includes background checks, interviews, and English and civics tests, all of which can be intimidating without proper guidance. Mistakes or missing documents can cause costly delays or denials. Working with an experienced immigration attorney helps ensure that every step is completed correctly and efficiently, increasing the likelihood of success in achieving the dream of U.S. citizenship.
Also on October 30, Powell was happy to have a marriage-based Permanent Resident application approved for a client from North Africa. The process of becoming a Permanent Resident is unique to each case, but it is always difficult and requires extreme care and diligence. Whether the Permanent Residence is gained through business, family, or some other process, the application requires strong documentation and considerable effort. Working with a trusted immigration attorney will help applicants as they navigate the Permanent Resident application process.
Join us in welcoming these 6 individuals to the United States!
